Specifically SNRIs like Pristiq or Effexor. I still drink daily on celexa. im on effexor currently. I rarely drink and when I do it isn't much but I haven't noticed any problems.
Keep in mind though, I would vomit if I drank 4 or more in a night within a couple of hours of each other.edit. Then had a couple weak drinks one day (a cider, a gingerbeer) - didn't even get a buzz (thought the meds would make me a lightweight, huh). My doctor said as long as I don't drink a lot it shouldn't be a problem.I should add that I have been drinking on Pristiq already and have not had any adverse reactions. People actually saying, "when I drink it makes me feel this bad thing" is a lot more helpful than just reading the side of the bottle.I agree. I said, 'oh, so i'll save money?' Yet, I also used to be quite the heavy binge-drinker so maybe I've retained some tolerance (both mind and body-wise). Never encountered a problem with drinking.I just notice that the effects kick in within the same time period, but with a double-multiplier if after eating (compared to pre-ADs) and something like a quad-multiplier (compared to pre-ADs) if I'm dumb enough to drink on an empty stomach.
It helps to know your limitI drank 1-3 drinks daily on effexor for a few years without any negative effects that I could tell.

So one beer with dinner feels like two. It was much easier to keep it under control. There is a definitely a noticeable effect when I have a beer, usually about 2 or 3 beers will get me buzzed.
